The quvi project is a Free Software project. We are not a sponsored or a funded project – the author maintains the project on his own time. You can either contribute a patch or make yourself otherwise useful to the community.

Lua is an easy programming language to learn; there are many existing libquvi scripts to get started

C is, admittably, a more demanding programming language – that said, starting with the 0.9 series, the project uses GLib which should make writing C less demanding
